Susana Zúñiga (MSc), Ingeniero Civil en Geografía (USACH) y Máster de Riesgos Naturales en la Universidad de León en España, cuenta con 10 años de experiencia en el área de la consultoría, trabajando tanto en Chile, España y Canadá. Se ha desempeñado en sectores como minería, trabajando en riesgo de cierre de faenas mineras, y participando en el 2013 en la creación de la Guía Metodológica de Riesgo en Cierre de Faenas Mineras para SERNAGEOMIN. Durante los últimos 3 años ha participado en proyectos para zonificar amenazas y vulnerabilidades en diferentes comunas de Chile. Teniendo la posibilidad de viajar a Ecuador para trabajar con los municipios e intercambiar experiencias entre los países. Ha realizado clases en la USACH sobre la gestión de riesgos naturales.
